Sonnax President Steve Boyer met with Governor Scott and Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation Executive Director Adam Grinold on Tuesday as part of Windham County Capitol for a Day.

“We were honored to welcome Gov. The meeting kicked off with a tour of Sonnax following a briefing by plant manager Mark Spaseff and remanufactured valve body product line manager Maura Stafford. The tour focused on six major stations in the plant: receiving, core prep, reaming, building, testing and shipping. The re-occurring topic heard at all stations was the Sonnax commitment to safety, quality, delivery and continuous improvement. “We have been working hard to improve our products and service and are very excited to share our process improvements with the TASC Force,” said Spaseff.

After the tour, the group returned to the hotel where they were welcomed by Sonnax Transmission Company president Steve Boyer. Boyer thanked everyone for attending the meeting and expressed his excitement to be there as he’s heard so much about what TASC means to Sonnax, and how it affects the new product development needs of the industry.

Meeting topics included new product suggestions, Sonnax quality, and industry trends that the automatic transmission aftermarket is facing today.

Sonnax Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of its assets to a newly-created subsidiary of Marmon Holdings, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company. The new company will operate as Sonnax Transmission Company. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. As an employee-owned company, the sale was overwhelmingly approved by vote of Sonnax employees. Steve Boyer becomes President of Sonnax Transmission, and will work closely with Sonnax Industries CEO Tommy Harmon to ensure a smooth transition into Marmon. “Joining Marmon affords Sonnax employees the support and stability of a very successful global organization while maintaining its homegrown, entrepreneurial feel,” Harmon said. “Above all, this expands what we can deliver to our customers, so our future is bright.” Marmon Holdings comprises about 175 independent manufacturing and service businesses with facilities in 23 countries and total revenues exceeding $7.7 billion in 2017. Marmon is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, one of the world’s largest, most successful, and most highly respected companies. Sonnax Transmission joins Marmon’s Automotive Aftermarket group, whose businesses are well known for providing innovative, engineered solutions for aftermarket installers.
