Symptoms:

Cause:

Excess wear in the lockup relay and plunger valve bores allows pressure loss and causes valve sticking that leads to TCC and lubrication failures.

Correction:

Recover hydraulic control and renew TCC and lube operation by installing Sonnax oversized lockup relay valve kit.

丰田和雷克萨斯U341E and U341F lockup relay valve trains route converter feed fluid to the release side of the converter clutch, and apply fluid into the cooler circuit. Converter feed pressure at the lockup relay control plunger valve helps in positioning of the outboard lockup relay valve. Wear or sticking at either the relay or plunger valve bores can result in converter apply and release concerns, inadequate lubrication, overheated fluid and converter codes. Installing Sonnax oversized lockup relay valve kit 33740-11K restores critical clearances for renewed TCC control and operation.

Note

There are two reaming processes. The plunger (inner) valve bore must be reamed first as the bench reamer jig needs to install into the OE relay valve bore. If the ouboard relay valve bore is reamed first the bench tooling will not work.
